Cored Wires


The demand of superior quality steel at competitive price for railways, defense, construction, automobiles, etc has increased significantly. To achieve this it is necessary for the industry to be able to add alloys with guaranteed and reproducible recovery in very precise form. One of the main problems of in-ladle metallurgy is to introduce into the liquid steel, with high reproducible recovery, many elements which are light, reactive or easily oxidized.

The most effective way to infuse these elements into the melt in the ladle is through the injection of CORED WIRE with fillings of these elements at correct speeds, as adding these elements deep in the ladle minimizes oxidation by air and slag, increases the time and surface area of contact with the liquid steel and therefore delays vaporization and ultimately increases efficiency. Low carbon steel sheaths protect the filling from the influence of atmosphere and moisture when keeping and transporting and from oxidation when passing through slag. Provides the required rigidity of the wire decelerates reaction of filling component with liquid steel which permits to control the depth of immersion of wire into liquid metal by means of changing of feeding rate and jacket thickness. We produce a vast variety of cored wire in9mm, 13mm and 16mm.
